Flex Terms & Conditions

These Stay Flexy Adventure Plans Terms and Conditions (“Flex Terms”) govern the purchase, eligibility, and use of the Stay Flexy Adventure Plans (“Flex Plans”) program offered by G Adventures (“Flex Program”). These Flex Terms supplement and are incorporated by reference into G Adventures’ Booking Terms and Conditions. If there is ever a conflict between these Flex Terms and our Booking Terms and Conditions, these Flex Terms will apply with respect to the Flex Plans.

1. Booking Eligibility & Rules

  • One Tier Per Booking: All participants listed under the same booking reference must choose the same Flex Plan. If friends or family traveling together want different Flex Plans, each person must create a separate booking.

  • Central Europe Exclusion: Flex Plans are not available for purchase by individuals in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland (“CEU”). This includes both (i) Individual travellers residing in or making a booking from CEU; and (ii) Travellers who make their booking via a travel agency located in CEU.

  • Excluded Trips: Only those Tours identified by G Adventures as having an associated Flex Plan available for purchase at the time of booking are included in the Flex Program. 

2. Purchase Process

  • Purchase Required at Time of Booking: You can purchase a Flex Plan when you first book your Tour or up to 48 hours after your booking is confirmed. After 48 hours, Flex Plans can no longer be added. Payment for Flex Plans is due in full at the time of purchase. 

  • Tour Booking Window: Flex Plans can not be purchased with any Tour booking made within 60 days of your scheduled departure date, except for National Geographic Signature Tours as described below.

  • National Geographic Signature Tour Booking Window: Flex Plans can not be purchased with any Tour booking made within 90 days of your scheduled departure date.

3. Usage & Cancellation Terms

  • Terms of Flex Plans. The G Adventures website at http://gadventures.com/terms-conditions/flex-travel/ describes the Terms applicable to each available Flex Plan, including the cancellation terms applicable to that Flex Plan. All time periods for cancellation of any Tour for which a Flex Plan has been purchased are determined by reference to the first day of the first Tour service on the booking. 

  • Cancellation of Flex Plans By You. You may cancel your booking of a Flex Plan by notifying G Adventures. The following cancellation fees will apply to any Flex Plan that is cancelled more than 24 hours after purchase: No refund will be payable in respect of any cancelled Flex Plans. 

  • Cancellation of Flex Plans By G Adventures. If a Tour for which you have purchased a Flex Plan is cancelled by G Adventures before the date of departure for reasons other than Force Majeure or as a result of a suspension of operations by G Adventures and the cancellation is not caused by your fault or negligence, you will receive from G Adventures a full refund of all monies paid for the Flex Plan. 

4. Travel Credit Terms 

  • Travel Credit and Lifetime Deposit. As outlined at the time of booking and at https://www.gadventures.com/why-travel-with-gadventures/flex-travel/, purchase of a Flex Plan will entitle you to receive a Lifetime Deposit and/or Travel Credit in the event you elect to cancel a booked Tour for which you have purchased a Flex Plan. 

  • 2-Year Validity: Any Travel Credit issued as a result of a cancellation by you pursuant to the terms of your Flex Plan is valid for bookings made within two (2) years from the date of cancellation.

  • Amount of Travel Credit: The value of Flex Program Travel Credits issued to you cannot exceed the amount actually received by G Adventures in respect of the booking for which the Flex Plan cancellation option is exercised. By way of example, if the terms of your Flex Plan entitled you to a 100% Travel Credit upon cancellation, but only 50% of the total amount owing with respect to the booking has been received by G Adventures at the time of cancellation, the amount of the Flex Program Travel Credit will equal the amount actually held by G Adventures.   

  • Travel Credit Usage: Flex Program Travel Credits can be applied towards any G Adventures tour product, subject to the following:

  • Flex Program Travel Credits cannot be applied to airfare.

  • Flex Program Travel Credits can be applied to bookings created before or after the date of Travel Credit issuance, however the application of Flex Program Travel Credits towards a booking which has already been fully or partially paid does not entitle you to a refund for funds already paid to G Adventures. 

  • Flex Program Travel Credits cannot be applied in full or partial fulfillment of the deposit payment amount required to complete a new booking with G Adventures, however any Lifetime Deposit issued to you resulting from the cancellation of your booking can be applied towards a new booking deposit. 

  • Partial Redemptions. Flex Program Travel Credits may be applied in full or in part, and in the event of a partial application the remaining balance will be retained for the original 2 year booking validity window. 

  • Non-Transferable & No Cash Value: Flex Program Travel Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value. 

5. e-SIM & Mobile Data Exclusions

  • Destination Restrictions:The e-SIM product offered as part of the Flex Plans is not included in any Tours visiting Cuba or Palau

6. General Terms

  • Updates to the Program: G Adventures reserve the right to modify or pause the Flex Program at any time. Any such modifications would apply only to new purchases of Flex Plans.
